Students at St Clement Danes were picking up a bumper crop of GCSE results today, with one measure recorded the best in the school’s history. Students look at their GCSE results

GCSE Results Details

Nearly half (48.3%) of all grades were at A* or A grades, making this the highest attaining cohort in the school’s history and bucking the national trend of a decline in top grades. 87% students achieved 5 A* to C grades including English and Maths. 28 students (nearly 14% of the cohort) gained A* and A grades in every GCSE subject.

Headteacher, Josephine Valentine, expressed her delight at the GCSE results. “We are very proud of these students who have worked hard throughout their time at the school to gain such fantastic results. We should also pay tribute to the commitment and hard work of their teachers, both at St Clement Danes and in their primary schools, for helping to lay such solid foundations for future success. We are delighted that so many of them will be returning to the Sixth Form at the school to continue their studies.”
