Chorleywood Primary School is celebrating being acknowledged as one of the best primary schools in the country. CWPS has been rated amongst the top 213 schools in the Primary league tables, published by the BBC, recognising schools with the highest attainment in England in 2014.
At all of these schools, 100% of Year 6 children achieved at least a Level 4 in reading, writing and maths and, when ranked on the average point score – the average number of points scored per pupil in the tests, made the top 213 list.
“We were absolutely delighted to discover that we were 73rd in the BBC News primary schools league tables.” says Head Teacher Rebecca Roberts, ” We were even more excited that our attainment was the highest in Hertfordshire! This is a huge achievement for all the staff, pupils, parents and governors. At Chorleywood Primary School we really do all work as a team and this is recognition of a very dedicated school community. Our staff work so hard to provide the children with the best possible opportunities. We are so proud of our school!”
