Both Chorleywood Primary and Christ Church School’s Groundwork projects have been shortlisted for a public vote in the Tesco Bags of Help Grant. Over £12.5 million is up for grabs broken down into three community groups and projects in each region with grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge. The amount the schools receive depends on the number of votes in Tesco from 26 Sept – 9 Oct
Christ Church are hoping to raise funds to create an all-weather surface for all year round outdoor play
“Currently in poor weather, we only have a netball court to use.”
Chorleywood Primary’s “Fit and Friendly Sports Fields” project, would also allow for repair and upgrading to create a durable sports surface.
“The site could then be used to its maximum potential as a school, but also for the local community.”
