Met Line changes from May

Posted On March 2, 2016
Chorleywood Station
March 02, 2016

From Monday 16 May there will be no Met Line trains between Aldgate and Wembley Park after 10pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays because of track replacement and drainage work (between Baker Street and Finchley Road). This will go on for two and a half years and is scheduled to be completed in late 2018

There will also be changes to first train times on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

I have been seething about this since it was first announced a few weeks ago. This decision has been forced on us without any consultation or consideration for the workers who need to get the early trains. I need to be at work in London by 6.30 a.m and so have got the 1st Train from Chorleywood virtually every weekday for over 20 years.. What am I and those in the same situation supposed to do? I understand that maintenance work needs to be done but to simply cancel the 1st 3 trains in the morning is going to prove an incredible inconvenience for literally thousands of early commuters. To also announce that this will be case until 2018 simply beggars belief…the arrogance and fait accompli attitude of met line management fills me with despair
