Rickmansworth Festival is especially loved for its mix of colourful canal boats and extensive line up of local unsigned bands and artists. A favourite haunt for music lovers is the intimate bunting-decked Owlsworld tent with stage run by Alan Rooke, or Owl as he is known to musos. Owl, who originally hails from Chorleywood, has long been involved with live music whether its organising gigs, operating sound or managing international tours. He has a passion for American Bluegrass music but expect to find performers of all genres on his Owlsworld Stage from The Caution Horses and Marky Dawson to Canadian artist Kris Wood and The Blues Machines and Chorleywood’s own Paul Jones of Old Shep Open Mic Night fame. There’s also a café and BBQ run by Fishery Wharf Café the home of Owlsworld on the canal in Hemel Hempstead !

Main Festival Stage highlights include Anglo Cuban Swanvesta Social Club, R&B Rock Fusion band April Blue and young Chorleywood rockers White Noise (formerly After School Club)
