RMS to the Rescue

Chorleywood wouldn’t be as twinkly this year without the generosity of The Royal Masonic School for Girls

Light garlands along our village shop fronts, originally sponsored by Chorleywood Business Association (CBA), have been organised Pierre Bosdet of PC FixUp over the last seven years and set up by electrician Matt Jennings. But due to a combination of factors this year, not least money having run out, it was looking like we were set for a glum village centre around Christmas.

Enter Royal Masonic School for Girls who offered to sponsor the LED lighting.

“We bought the LEDs in 2013.They are much cheaper to run and easier to put up than the previous incandescent bulbs where there were breakages and rusting of fittings” says Pierre, “But there is still a considerable cost involved including an electrician, insurance and some replacements.  We were so relieved when RMSforgirls came to the rescue!  Chorleywood looks festive again thanks to them!”

The solar powered lamppost decorations are supplied by the Council.
