When it comes to picking a panto it’s generally comes down to your favourite story and who’s starring.
Watersmeet ticks the boxes for so many families this year with the classic fairytale Snow Whjte and the Seven Dwarfs, a cracking cast and the added bonus of the venue being just down the road.
“It’s a real fun one” says Chris Jordan, Managing Director of Jordan Productions, who also wrote the pantomime, “it has all the essential panto elements, loads of silly, traditional slapstick and a crazy, crazy chaotic routine in Act 2 that should bring the house down.
Dancing on Ice star Sam Attwater has swapped his skating for playing the Prince – Sam is much more than a TV celeb, he is a really talented musical theatre person with an amazing voice! And Dave Bibby, who was Potty Pierre in Watersmeet last year, is back by popular demand as Herbie the Huntsman – Snow White’s protector and best friend.”
Jordan, who has worked as an actor, producer, director and theatre manager and has run the Eastbourne based production company for 25 years, hails from Abbotts Langley and performed in his first panto at Watersmeet, as a young dancer.
Emma Harrold who plays Snow White has local connections too, having grown up in the area where she was involved in the local am-dram circuit before training at The Royal Academy of Music.
“Our panto has all the glitz and sparkle that kids love as well as physical comedy ” adds Watersmeet Manager Josh Sills, “ It’s a real family show with sophisticated humour and plenty of clap-along songs from classics right up to recent hits.”
Snow White at Watersmeet is guaranteed to be a show that appeals to all ages.
“We want everyone, including teenagers, to walk out saying they have had a good laugh. And we are confident that they will!”
