Despite months of planning, a new illuminated Christmas tree nearly didn’t happen this year due to red tape, but, thanks to perseverance of Pierre Bosdet of PCFixup who led the mission and with the help of Christmas Festival organiser Theo Papadopoulos, it is back on the cards.

“We haven’t had a Christmas tree in the centre of Chorleywood for over 20 years” says Pierre, “After running into difficulties obtaining both licensing & power from Herts County Council for their land at the Memorial Garden, Shire Lane & Whitelands Avenue, we have now identified an alternative location for the Christmas Tree display which is still in the village centre and on private land. Huge thanks to the Royal Masonic School for Girls for their ongoing sponsorship.”
