The second session of filming for The Peep Show took place in Chorleywood last Friday (4 Sept) behind closed doors. The team were shooting in The Black Horse and as far as potential customers were aware the pub was shut for the day. Regulars were allowed in though and close neighbours received letters from the Production Company in advance.
Black Horse barman Harry Marah managed to get a photo with David Mitchell.
“He was really nice, he was quite busy so didn’t have much time to talk but came in and had a pint of Youngs once the filming had finished.” says Harry, “He said it all went well and that they’d done all they came to do, which was a relief because last time they didn’t manage to do all of it.”
Shooting started in early August for the 9th series including a day’s filming in Chorleywood Bookshop. Fans are devastated that it has been confirmed to be the last series ever. It is scheduled to go out late this year.
The Black Horse is a favourite film location. Celebs caught on camera in recent years include David Tennant and Alan Davies, both with barmaid Tanya Ryder.
