Despite horrible weather a great group of Environment Agency volunteers were out yesterday (11 Nov 13) helping with a habitat enhancement project on the Chess.” says Paul Jennings, Chairman of The River Chess Association

” We created four new structures to concentrate flow to clean gravel and scour holes in the river bed. This will create habitat that is good for breeding fish and will encourage recruitment of young fish.”

This is a great example of the Environment Agency and River Chess Association working for the common good of the River Chess.
