The Hive team staged another successful Comedy night at The Memorial Hall on Saturday (4 Oct) to raise funds towards Chorleywood’s new Community Centre.
“We had a fantastic line up of stand up, sketches and songs,” says Hive Trustee Simone Tyson, “It was a brilliant night this year, even better than last ! All the acts were well received especially Iain and Ian’s very funny policeman sketch and musician Viv Bartlett who was awesome and got a standing ovation for his witty songs on HS2 and Chorleywood’s fish and chip shop. Compere Logan Murray went down a storm – he even turned the raffle into comedy!”
Local businesses supported the evening in various ways , John Roberts sorted the publicity banner The Stag and Aarna Beauty gave raffle prizes. Gusto Deli served a tasty chilli and table floral decorations were donated by Three Sons.
“We made just over £1500” adds Simone
