Chorleywood Remembrance service will he held next weekend on Remembrance Sunday, 9 November at Christ Church. Two minutes’ silence will be observed in the 10.30am service by using the live transmission of the silence and Last Post from the Cenotaph. The service is traditionally held at Christ Church as it houses two Chorleywood community war memorials
The Royal British Legion service is at 3pm, when the focus is on the World War 1 and World War 2 memorials, on which wreaths will be laid. A military trumpeter will play the Last Post. In addition to members of the Royal British Legion and all the local churches, Chorleywood scouting groups will be strongly represented.
