The children in Year 6 at Christ Church School have prepared an installation in the grounds of Christ Church as an act of Remembrance for the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.
“The poppies are made from recycled materials and the boots scattered amongst them were provided by a Christ Church parent, Major Dom Staveley and were from soldiers who served in Afghanistan and Iraq – you can even see sand still in the treads.” says Sarah Selleck, Head of School.
“Year 6 have prepared an act of worship for Remembrance Day that will be shared virtually in classrooms on 11th November where the names of past Christ Church pupils who died in the line of duty will be read out and remembered.”
