Word cloud Mother’s Day cards were designed by Year 6 children at Christ Church School.

“Children were given time to reflect on the special characteristics and qualities of their Mums – some were inspired to includes Mum’s hobbies, work, chores and even nationalities! We asked children to think of what their Mums really meant to them.” says Lucy Roberts, Year 6 Teacher.
‘The results are amazing!’ says Head teacher Duncan Gauld. ‘It is so lovely for parents to receive original art work from their children. I think there are going to be some Mums with a tear in their eye on Mother’s Day this year. It’s a special day, part of the church calendar, and one we like to mark by inviting Dads into school to spend a bit of quality time with their children. This year we had a record number of Dads visit to help make cards, decorate aprons and shopping bags. A big thank you to our PTA who are fantastic at supporting such events. Happy Mother’s Day to all our school Mums and special Carers.’
