Chiltern Railways autumn leaf fall timetable is now operating

All trains to London Marylebone on the Chiltern Line will have three minutes added to their departure time so trains will now leave three minutes earlier than before.Leaf Blower

The pressure of heavy trains going over the leaves creates a hard surface on the rails which makes it difficult for the wheels to grip the tracks so trains need more time to brake. Drivers compare the slippery surface to black ice.

And if you need to suck up some leaves for the lawn you can now hire a leaf blower from Van Hage, Chenies. The new electrical equipment hire service at the Garden Centre on Chenies Road includes other garden electrical equipment from chain saws to strimmers and hedge cutters.
