Our nearest theme park is always a winner.

Brickville village is made up of Duplo buildings and has integrated climbing frames and slides while a Splash Safari (for under 5s) is a handy parent free zone (viewing areas at a dry distance).

Older children will love Drench Towers where maximum soaking is guaranteed – a suspended giant brick fills steadily with water then tips the 1200 litres out. There are Rise and fall helicopters, a Duplo train and the ever popular Fairy Tale Brook. The gentle boat trip through Fairy Tale land with favourite animated characters from the stories made from Lego include new additions Snow White, Cinderella and Goldilocks.

Highlights include Cinderella’s glass slipper made from 250 clear bricks. Look out for unexpected objects like an iPhone and Kenwood food mixer. When it’s time to sit quietly for a while, head for the Duplo puppet theatre – regular performances daily alternating Pied Piper, Elves and the Shoemaker and Princess and the Pea suit all the family.
