Lots of new things in the village this month…

NEW BRAND

Poores is gradually undergoing the transformation to Lords. CEO Shanker Patel told us “Our priority is to make the environment brighter fresher, safer and bring a more pleasant shopping experience, Expect new fittings, better lighting, new flooring, clear displays, less clutter and less confusion.”

NEW LOOK

Gusto Deli has become Gusto Bistro. The cooking area is now partially screened from diners by a chunky distressed oak paneled wall contrasting with a punchy cobalt blue backdrop. Expect a fresh angle on the menu too – seasonal British and/ Mediterranean food all with Chef Allan finesse. Tues – Sat 11am – 9pm, Sunday 12 – 3pm. Assistant Cook needed. NEW PEOPLE

Locally based Interior designer Karen Blue is now running her business Studio Six in the part of the old Sheratons building next to Purple Hedgehog, Lower Road. She shares the space with Gary Gisborne of Sandman Home and Garden furniture and home accessories. Open until 4pm daily.

New owner of Chorleywood Sports, Sunil Gupta has transformed the shop in Main Parade
