Chorleywood partied hard along with the Mall on ?? June. Friends and neighbours came together to toast the Queen in bubbly and lemonade on her 90th birthday. Despite the occasional shower, spirits were high.
St Andrew’s Church hosted a party for nearby residents of Quickley Lane,
“We played Number 1 hits for each year of the Queen’s reign as background music and of course the National Anthem followed by the Loyal Toast! We also had a best baked and best decorated cake competition.”
The main attraction at the Heronsgate get together was the Maypole, while youngsters at Clements Road needed no encouragement to take part in the Clements Road’s Got Talent challenge
Cedars Village residents enjoyed a celebratory tea in the conservatory and dining room whilst watching the Mall activities on a big screen. Many got into the spirit by dressing in red, white and blue
Every household in Homefield Road were involved in the street party with fifty people tucking into the communal spread and many a refreshing glass of Pimms.
