Rootz Brasserie closed in Summer 2015 and was replaced by Herons

“There are plenty of menu options, something to suit everybody from the children to their Nan – which includes a few fussy eaters”

“It’s family friendly – the kids love the pizza making sessions”

“There’s always a good deal on” – (Current Early bird Monday to Friday 4.30 – 6.30, buy one main course and get a second half price- not kids menu)

“There’s a wicked magician” (Steve Rowe – first Sunday of the month)

“The dishes are presented well – I love the way they sprinkle chocolate over a spoon and leave the shape on the plate”

“Burgers made of whole beef, are a decent size and come with chunky stacked chips and onion rings.”

“Pizzas are stone baked and some of the best around”

“You get extras … home made shortbread with the coffee”

“I booked the conservatory for a party– it feels like a private room and there’s a massive table that seats about 12” (Can seat 16)

“My son can’t eat wheat and it’s brilliant – you can have almost anything on the menu made gluten-free.”

“I like the benches by the window, a group of us go and we have our own little area.”

“They do some special nights … I’ve been to a book launch and a charity night there and there was live music. It was fab”

“There’s always a warm welcome”
