Staff, children and parents of Russell School joined together in a mammoth fundraising campaign for victims of the Nepal earthquake. Money was raised in various ways throughout the school. Nursery children and staff dressed up as their favourite characters. Y4 children and parents sold tea, coffee & croissants to commuters at Chorleywood Station (raised £1,000 ! Y3 Mums sold sweets and balloons in the playground. The reception Class held a Nepalese Zoo event where tickets were sold to a soft toy Zoo and Mums also set up a tattoo parlour offering a temporary tattoo service while Y1 children ran 10 laps of the school field for sponsorship. Copper coins were collected and were arranged into the word ‘Nepal’.
