Chipperfield Choral Society, directed by Delia Meehan and with parons Emma Bell and Alan Taylor was founded in 1947. They have 100+ members include several from Chorleywood
In 2010 they set up the Liz Holliday Young Singers Scheme which gives financial assistance to young singers for support such as singing lessons, music purchase or even maybe concert dress
Provides financial support for anyone aged 16 to 25 who is studying singing and hopes to become a professional musician.
Recipients are asked to join the Society (no membership fee applies), as this will give them experience of singing with a leading local choir of around 100 people to help develop their broader musical awareness. They can then apply for financial help, for instance with extra singing lessons, courses or workshops, study support, buying music or even concert dress.

Lemon Tuesday
Lemon Tuesday, an all women choir based in Rickmansworth, was originally set up by professional performer Lisa Roberts to teach singing to a group of keen mums from St Mary's Primary School. Their resident Musical Director, Chorleywood based Martin Smith joined the group since shortly after it started in 2004.
Community choir for the young people and adults living in Watford and the surrounding area. No singing experience, musical knowledge needed and no auditions
Large community shout and brass band, for 16 yrs + professionals and keen amateurs making music for fun. Vocalists as well as musicians (Woodwind, Brass and Rhythm section)
