Monday 29 August: Dahlia Festival
2pm – 5pm
This spectacular display of flamboyant dahlias is a must for any keen gardener. One of the country’s leading specialists and supplier to the National Trust, Rose Cottage Plants, will be on hand to advise on growing these sun loving stunners
“ We like to encourage people to grow dahlias mixed into herbaceous borders rather than in rows on show as exhibits” says Nursery owner Anne Barnard. “Dahlias flower from July after a lot of flowers look jaded so inject new life into borders all through summer. They come in so many different forms and work especially well with salvias, penstemon and agapanthus.”
The Dahlia Festival will continue in the gardens until the first frosts in September and October.
ALL SUMMER LONG
The Manor House and Gardens are open on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 2pm – 5 pm until the end of October offering tours of the house and homemade teas.
