Tracie Ness is inviting customers to join her in celebrating the third anniversary of Number One Boutique this weekend. Shoppers will be able to toast the shop with bubbly while they browse the autumn collections.
The clothes shop in Main Parade has proved a total success. Tracie puts this partly down to being in tune with her clients.
“Knowing customers is so important and I adapt my buying to suit my ever changing customer base. People are still discovering us, they might come into the village to buy some flooring or to buy tickets for a Bookshop event then find us by accident. And they usually come back! ”

The shop is just as popular with chaps who frequently nip in on the way to or from work to buy presents for their wives, girlfriends or mothers.
“I cater for practically all ages from 27 to 80, even teens come in to buy for parents.  I am often helping the guys choose a gift for the woman in their lives. If they really can’t decide I suggest a gift voucher and am happy to offer a personal styling service so a customer can have the shop to herself and try on.”

And now with the newly launched website up and running, you don’t even have to visit the shop to buy,
“Even if you don’t want to shop online it’s a handy way to see what’s in stock before you come down. ”

And we’re likely to be able to shop at Number One Boutique for a long while yet

” I’m not moving anywhere… I’m in for the long haul!”
