St Clement Danes new Year 7s have been passing on their golf skills to children of local primary schools at a Tri-Golf Festival. The game, a mini version of golf, was launched by the Golf Foundation in 2000 specifically for use by young children in infant, primary and junior schools. The tri-golf packs includes chippers with over-sized clubheads, putters which are specially designed to be safe to use and for the children to achieve success. The balls are oversized and made of foam.
“Many of the Year 7 students were coaching children from their old primary schools” says Ellie Thompson, Marketing Lead at St Clement Danes. “It was a great opportunity for them to catch up with their former teachers and practise their leadership and coaching skills with younger pupils”
Schools involved included Sarratt CoE, Russell, Christ Church, Chorleywood Primary and Maple Cross JMI.
