For the fifth year running, Year 6 children from Christ Church School helped set up the Christian Aid market at John Fisher Church.
“It is a wonderful thing for the children to be involved with and they love it! “ says Class teacher Jane Broadis, “Christian Aid Week reminds them that there is a world beyond the classroom that really needs their help.”
All Year 6 children complete a Citizenship Challenge in their final term “The Challenge is about providing the children with an opportunity to give something back to the community and their school, and to encourage them to become more thoughtful global citizens who feel a sense of responsibility for others,” explains Head Teacher, Duncan Gauld.
