Amersham Photographic Society embraces both traditional and digital techniques and have achieved outstanding success in regional and national events. Newcomers are always welcome and members are keen to share their skills and knowledge.
The club meets weekly for much of the year for talks, tutorials and competitions
The Digital Group provides training in Photoshop Elements and advice in the process of achieving successful images that communicate well to the viewer and the Monochrome Group provides expertise & advice for those wanting to work in Black and White. Camera Craft sessions provide hands-on guidance in various aspects of camera use & special techniques – these vary from real beginners subjects, through to advanced techniques. In addition to the regular meetings, we also hold informal and sociable ‘Away-Days’ to places of photographic interest.
“Joining Amersham Photographic Society was one of the best things I ever did. In the Monochrome group there are people with a wealth of resources and experience who are only to pleased to pass their knowledge on to me.” Ted Kinsey
“It’s one of the top clubs in the country – they consistently feature in the top half dozen clubs nationwide in terms of competitions and offer an amazing series of talks, lectures and tutorials, it’s a brilliant resource that I would recommend to anyone in the area” Andrew Bungard
