After 13 years at Poores’ checkout Kay Adams has decided to call it a day and retire
There can’t be many Chorleywooders who don’t know Kay! After 13 years at Poores’ checkout she has decided to call it a day and retire
“ I am 71 in December and I want to have time to do things.”
Kay has enjoyed helping customers
“It’s a great team and there’s a lovely atmosphere, and you can have a laugh with regular customers”
“ Kay has become a friend to lots of customers” say manager Anthony “She will be missed but I’m sure the team will keep in contact with her, I have no choice as Kay is my mother in law!”
“ I get into trouble for distracting Eli, Lorna Marsh’s canine partner, I always give him treats.”
Kay is looking forward to more gardening cooking and visiting National Trust properties but is sad to leave,
“ I wish Lords had taken over five years ago, I would have liked to have seen the changes, they look exciting!”
Kay finishes work at the end of 2015
