Whilst pupils of Christ Church School were making cards for Mother’s Day, ten year old Josh Purbrick, with family dog Monty, teacher Jane Broadis, classmates and supporters walked a total of 1040 laps of the Common, amounting to 260 miles in two hours raising £5000 for Cancer Research in the process.
The walk was carried out in memory of Josh’s Mum Lorraine who passed away on 16 January after a long battle with cancer.
