Chorleywood House Estate was recently awarded a Green Flag. The Estate has been recognised in this way because of the excellence of the environment it offers, and the diverse, well maintained landscape.
“The inspectors applied tougher criteria when making the awards this year, so we are especially pleased to have been recognised again in this way, and to have acknowledged that the Estate is a wonderful place for people of all ages to walk, rest and play.” says Friends of Chorleywood House Estate Chair Doug King.
And you can help it get an even higher accolade by voting Chorleywood House Estate as your favourite Green Flag site in the ‘Green Flag People’s Choice’ competition.
And don’t forget Apple Day on Saturday 6th October! – it’s a great family opportunity to see Chorleywood Orchard and the Estate and the perfect opportunity to visit the Lady Ela Russell exhibition in the Red & White Summerhouse – now the museum for the history of the Estate .
