Christ Church School celebrated the run up to World Book (5 March) in novel style
“We had a great time with three author visits organised through Chorleywood Bookshop and a fantastic dress-up day where children and staff came to school as a character from a book.” says Year 6 teacher Jane Broadis,
“We are always trying to find ways to encourage children to write and there is nothing better than someone who has brought characters and a story to life in a published book.” adds Laura Clow, Literacy Co-ordinator, “It is fantastic for children to have the opportunity to meet authors who make a living from their love of writing. ”
