Local Trailrunners were over the moon that the sun was shining when they took off on their second circuit of the village running through Carpenters Wood, Chenies, the Chess Valley, the Common and back to Rootz to enjoy home made granola and fresh coffee.
Rootz has sourced some re-usable folding sports water-bottles for the runners.
“Chorleywood people are keen to be green. We already have re-usable cups which have been really successful and now are supplying reusable bottles” says Rootz Manager Jordan Williams. “Our tie-up with the runners is very apt as Phil (Rootz Co-owner) has a few London Marathon medals to his name!”
ChorleyRootzTrailrun leader Geordie Klein combines his passion for trailrunning with raising funds for Run4Cancer and so far has raised £?? for the charity
After running the 85km trailrun in April during the Innsbruck Alpine Trail Festival in Austria Geordie was inspired to write about the absurdity of trail running
“Nobody forced me up those Alpine mountains and said, ”Only come back when you are finished. And by the way, an overnight stay is not included, the idea is to do it all in approximately 12 hours’’.
