… for the second year running!

Rob wbsChorleywood based Wedding photographer Rob Purbrick has won the Master Photographers’ Association (MPA) Central Region Gold Award for the best classical wedding photograph for the second consecutive year. Rob is one of Chorleywood Magazine’s photographers who took the amazing bride photographs that featured inside  our April issue (See link below)

Rob, of Purpix Photography,  submitted a photograph taken of Emma Watford at her wedding in Home House, London last year and was voted the clear winner in his category by the MPA, the UK’s leading qualification body for the professional photographer. The annual regional MPA awards are highly prestigious and competitive with 260 entries competing in up to 20 different categories.

“This exceptional image is made by a true artist.” says  judge Bjorn Thomassen, “Uniquely Rob is an intellectual image-maker who starts with the vision in mind and creates a piece of art. Everything from the atmosphere, to the pose staring into space, the aesthetics and the emotion that it evokes are just exquisite. Usually when I am judging categories, I select six or so of the best and choose from them; with this category I was in no doubt who should win Gold.”

“We really trusted Rob to capture those special moments and he did more than just that.” adds bride Emma Watford, ”  We loved that staircase and I remember Rob setting up the shot so calmly and unobtrusively to capture the atmosphere, creating a pause amidst the busyness of the wedding!”
