Local theatre group Rickmansworth Players are holding a costume sale this Saturday and Sunday (17th and 18th) at their wardrobe facility in Mill End, Rickmansworth (10am-3.30pm both days).
Established in 1944, the group has built up an impressive collection of costumes and vintage items but needs to make room to house costumes for its new Youth Theatre productions.
On sale are: costumes, vintage dresses, blouses, skirts, coats, shawls, scarves, stoles, shoes, fur items, hats, gloves, wigs, uniforms, dinner suits, men’s trousers and shirts, waistcoats, overalls and many other items.
Wardrobe Manager Jill Hammond, said: “Members of Ricky Players actually dug the foundations for our wardrobe ‘hut’ in the 1970s and it’s impressive to see how big it’s grown since then. However we really need the space for the new generation of Ricky Players shows so come and take a look – there are bargains to be had!”.
