Craft Beer at The Land of Lib

The Land of Liberty is now stocking craft beer in bottles and cans as well as their fresh draught artisan beers.

“It makes sense for us to cater for the new wave of craft beer drinkers,” says Landlady Gill Gibson, “ Canning technology has improved and craft beers now compare well to the cask equivalent so we are offering more unusual and distinctive beers in cans and bottles for customers either to take away or drink on the premises. We are en route from the M25 for many Chorleywood people and picking up beer-to-go avoids the drinking and driving temptation. Shops have become pubs so why shouldn’t pubs be convenient shops. We already have the expertise! ”

There isn’t much that Gill and business partner, Landlord and Cellarman Martin Few, don’t know about beer. The real ale pub in Heronsgate has won numerous CAMRA awards and Gill regularly hosts tasting sessions and judges nationwide in CAMRA ale competitions.

“People can try a third of a pint of fresh draught before choosing a takeaway” adds Martin, “We sell the best that British microbrewers offer and will be constantly introducing new beers – but will always taste them first!”
