A word of street light advice from Chorleywood resident Steve Frewin…
” We reported a faulty street light in Quickley Lane on the 13th October 2014. The contractor apparently came round twice and didn’t repair it. If they can’t repair it (ie change the bulb) it often gets referred to another department and in this case it seemed to have been forgotten. Looking at the Herts website we were not alone with this issue.
This particular Chorleywood junction is very dangerous at night for motorists and other road users and there was a burglary and cars were damaged in the immediate area since this light was out
The light has just been repaired. We waited nearly 3 months and it was fixed in 5 minutes with the right knowledge.
The engineer was efficient and helpful. I recommend that any Chorleywood residents with a similar issue keeps calling Herts CC until they get results.”
