Chorleywood WI took part in a felting workshop with Multimedia artist Michelle Dibdin at a special Bursary Tea afternoon. Members learned how to make felt by working tufts of merino wool with warm soapy water in between layers of bubble wrap then squeezing out, rubbing and rolling until the fibres felted together. The felt was finally teased into a flower shape and some petals were trimmed using a pair of scissors. The group turned out a variety of colourful flower shapes ready to be made into brooches.
