“After selling out the first screening of our new season and acquiring a new sponsor, Chorleywood Film Club are really forging ahead,” says Chair Keith Frost.
The Club’s new sponsor is Ultimate Destinations, the village’s own independent travel agents, specialising in luxury holidays and cruises. Alan Haynes, the firm’s Managing Director, agreed “Apart from the excellent choice of films shown, I have been really impressed by the passion and dedication shown by the Club’s team. Hopefully our sponsorship will enable them to continue their good work.”

Such a vote of confidence in our community cinema initiative is really tremendous.”
The Club’s film choice for October is one of the best films of 2017 – the multi-award winning emotional drama Manchester By The Sea. Casey Affleck stars as the loner, who having unexpectedly been made the guardian of his teenage nephew, returns to the village where his working class family have lived for generations. Once there, he is forced to deal with a past which separated him from his wife and the local community.
It also stars Michelle Williams, Kyle Chandler and Lucas Hedges
