Children from three Chorleywood Primary schools were amongst the 1,100 children who took part in the seven junior races in the Moor Park 10K Junior Fun Run.
The trophy for the school that enters the most pupils in the races was won by Charlotte House
The annual event ( 25 September) is organised by the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre at Mount Vernon
Schools co-ordinator Danie Rollison held presentations at local school assemblies before the event
“The response was fantastic, we had a lot more schools on board this year entering as teams rather than individuals. We made over £40,000 the charity in all!”
“There was no fear of the unknown and the children knew what to expect“ says Mum Simone Tyson, “They were excited and keen to do it again next year. It was a really lovely day!”
