Anyone over 18 eligible for a flu vaccine can now have it done at Parade Pharmacy in Chorleywood. This scheme, funded by the NHS, is aimed at spreading the load for the GPs and getting as many people as possible vaccinated in the time frame.

Any pharmacist who gives a flu jab is suitably trained and qualified to do it and have refresher training every year. They use the same supplier sources as GPs and inform the surgery of the vaccination with the patient’s consent so that records can be updated

Hitesh Dodhia of Parade Pharmacy has been delivering flu jabs for the last four years and has totalled over 500 to date

“ We have always been frustrated that we cannot give a free jab to the eligible patients and are really pleased that the NHS has seen this as positive way to go.”

*The NHS aim to vaccinate 75 % of at risk eligible patients and last year just over 44% had the vaccine
