Ex SCD student, singer songwriter Jack Garratt marked the launch of his debut EP, Remnants with two gigs on consecutive nights at The Waiting Room, Stoke Newington.
Those who remember Jack’s soulful ballads with acoustic guitar on the Barbirolli stage may be surprised by his change in style to a more electronic indie-rock /alternative R&B peppered with hip hop, blues, electric, even neo soul. The genre may be different but as ever his performance is flawless, his lyrics heartfelt, his vocals sharp and his delivery emotion loaded.
The beard is pretty impressive too.
