Sleep under the stars this weekend and take part in the RSPB Big Wild Sleepout. For the fourth year running the conservation charity is encouraging families across the UK to discover the secret world of wildlife on their doorstep by camping out in their gardens or other places. Chances are high you will spot some wildlife as recent warm nights has meant a surge in sightings. The drier weather means badgers and hedgehogs that rely on soft ground for worms, slugs or snails will be out earlier snuffling through gardens looking for food and looking for a free meal under bird feeders. Moths and nocturnal insects come alive on a warm night too which leads to more bats, tawny owls, barn owls and little owls in search of supper.
