Ana Moore’s passion for vintage fashion and retro glamour led her to create nostalgic ceramics with a modern day English eccentricity

Alice in Wonderland fans will love the Alice ceramics and homewares from Mrs Moore. Ana Moore and Husband Kevin of Chipperfield launched their vintage business when they both lost jobs in the City around five years ago.

“ I had been into vintage for as long as I can remember although it was called second hand back then!” says Ana,   “We started selling pretty vintage teaware in mini suitcases and hatboxes at Portbello Antique Market and the Apple Market in Covent Garden. When other traders started doing the same thing and undercut us we made a decision to design our own range.

“I decided that I wanted all of my products to be completely British made– from start to finish and of the highest quality.”

So the search began to find a UK manufacturer.

“Several trips to Stoke on Trent followed, we found that several potteries were bringing in the bone china whiteware from abroad. Eventually we found a pottery who made all the whiteware in Staffordshire and another pottery who specialise in silk screen printing.”

They have extended the range to include kitchen linens, tablemats, prints, canvases cushions and bags, all UK made

Our Alice range is very popular – the cake stands and coasters are our best sellers. Our new Alice Chintz collection launched this year, this is trimmed with 22 carat gold detailing simply because I love sparkly things – I’m such a magpie!

We sell online and through stockists and recently heard that they want to stock the Alice collection in the UK Pavilion at Epcot, Disneyland – Exciting times ahead!”
