Children of Christ Church School made Christingles from oranges, candles and ribbons and lit them for their special annual assembly.
“The Christingle assembly is one of the most special moments of the Christmas season,” said Claire O’Rourke, Deputy Headteacher, “the children sit in their family groups and the Year 6 children help the little ones. As a school we reflect on the significance of the Christingle and pray for the world.”
Teachers were very grateful to Waitrose for kindly donating the oranges which meant there were no last minute dashes to the local supermarket!
