Storage crates are off the shelves and in use on the shop floor today (Fri 26 Feb), piled high as Poores packs up and prepares for a major revamp. The store re-opens in April as Lords.
Plans for the store are to make the environment brighter, fresher and safer and bring a more pleasant shopping experience. Expect new fittings, better lighting, new flooring, clear displays, less clutter and less confusion.
The staff will be away for four weeks while the refit is being carried out.
“When we first heard of the changes there was a lot of anticipation” says Manager Anthony Forshaw, “Now I can’t wait!”
“I’m really looking forward to the new shop” says Sales Assistant Sandra, “I’m going to take my Mum away in the break and clear out some cupboards and drawers then we’ll soon be back helping get ready for opening.”
