… Oh yes it is! Dan & Jeff’s Potted Panto has just opened at the Garrick Theatre in London’s West End. Belly laughs are guaranteed as the barmy pair hare through Jack and the Beanstalk, Dick Whittington, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Aladdin (and A Christmas Carol) at hyper high speed. There’s an appearance from Her Majesty, an irresistible Tiny Tim puppet and a 3D stagecoach gallop which gets all the audience up on their feet swaying left and right in unison while surfing speed bumps and ducking water blasters.
Dan, who was brought up in Little Chalfont and went to St Clement Danes school, has always been a big panto fan.
“I did my first panto at Chorleywood Memorial Hall when I was eight – The Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe. I loved it!”
Dan and Jeff are well known for their worldwide sell-out parody Potted Potter which crams all the Harry Potter books into one show.
“Our first ever performance of Potter was to Russell School children. It passed the test! ”
They have since added Pirates and Sherlock to the Potted family. What the Potted shows have in common is the manic mash up of stories with the silliest slapstick and enough clever quips to give them adult appeal.
“Our scripts come from ad libbing, devising and making each other laugh.”

Potted Panto, Seven classic pantos in 80 minutes, Garrick Theatre, Charing Cross Road, WC2 OHH. Runs until 15 January. Performances 1pm and 4pm every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with an additional performance at 11am on Saturday.
