Santa’s Rock’n’Road Show 2020 on Saturday 5 December was brought to the village by Chorleywood Magazine together with Chorleywood Community Initiatives and Chorleywooders just loved the festive buzz and tracking Santa on the SantaNav! It turned out to be the perfect event to entertain the wider community from little ones to seniors.  The Roadshow happened because we couldn’t run Chorleywood Christmas Festival and stage this year but really wanted to bring some Christmas cheer to the village in some way. We were aware   there were no Santa’s grottos either.  We met up with friend and lighting guru Nick Edwards of V2 who summed it all up  “We’ll just have to bring the show to the people.”  Theatre professionals with Chorleywood connections were on board from the word go and the idea snowballed. Santa couldn’t bring his reindeer to the party due to COVID restrictions so Watford Harley Davidson Owners Group stepped in. All these, together with much appreciated financial support from Cllr Phil Williams at Herts County Council and Chorleywood Parish Council, meant we could put the show on the road. And what a show!

The local primary schools were selected as our charities because they haven’t been able to do any fundraising events all year.

If you enjoyed the Roadshow you can still donate here –
