Chorleywood actress Donna Flinn is appearing in the continuing coffee break internet drama Shades of Bad, a dark comedy about Doris Shades, a woman who accidentally becomes a serial killer. The series, which has been released in 3 minute episodes every Sunday since 7 June, has already become regular weekend viewing for those already hooked on the tale of revenge.

“The beauty is you can watch it on your phone so it’s perfect for the morning commute!” says Donna, “ I play Doris’s mother in law who has already been a topic of conversation between Doris and her neighbour Wilma so audiences have already built up some expectation of what I am like and heard what Doris plans to do to me. But, like the rest of the series, there are surprises in store!”

Edgy and sometimes cringingly funny, each episode kicks off with a sequence of arty shots summing up potential murder aids, accompanied by a lively, suspense laden score.

“Shades of Bad is the first web soap and it’s shot like a film in true HD quality“ says Creator Stuart St Paul, “This new form of programming has evolved In an era where audiences have limited time and attention. Web series is the new TV and fits neatly into our current lifestyle. The free-to-view programmes in short exciting bites are just like chapters of a Dan Brown novel. It is timeless, international and has no restrictions. All major film festivals are now starting web series sections Netflix, Amazon and Sky all spend more money on new drama than the BBC that gets government and lottery money.

We are proud to be part of the new future that allows you to watch what you want to watch, when you want to watch it.”
