Set amongst the beautiful Hertforshire countryside Moores’s former grounds are much as they were in his lifetime and The Henry Moore Foundation offers visitors the chance to see Moore’s family home, explore his studios and experience sculpture it the open air.

Thursday 1 May to Sunday 26 October
Wednesday to Sunday & Bank Holidays
11am to 5pm

There are two types of ticket: a standard entry which includes the Exhibition Gallery, Studios, Tapestry Barn and Gardens and a ticket which includes all of the above plus a tour of Hoglands (Henry Moore’s former home). Hoglands presents a unique insight into the daily life of one of the outstanding cultural figures of the twentieth century. Every item is original and still in its intended place, with the rooms set out to appear as they would have done in the late 1960’s to early 1970’s.

If you purchase a ticket that includes Hoglands, you will get a timed ticket to go through the house. Only 8 people are allowed through the house at any one time. Please allow approx 30 mins for the house tour which will involve putting on over shoes and leaving bags etc. in a secure locker (free of charge).

It’s a lovely place for a walk on a Summer’s day and when we went we had a lovely lunch in the Hoops Inn which is a pub on the Estate.
