Art and music by children of Russell School created over the lockdown period has been put together in a video by Music Enrichment Teacher Christine Deeley
“Usually at this time we would be celebrating the end of term with a summer concert showcasing all of our incredibly talented children’ says Christine, ” Instead this year we are presenting our Lockdown video which captures some memories, thoughts and sounds made by the children. There are images thanking the key workers, thoughts during lockdown and stunning pictures drawn during home schooling. Accompanying the art is a brilliant band made up of 64 Russell children who recorded during lockdown, playing brass instruments, strings, woodwind, percussion, singing and recording the sounds of Chorleywood. They sent in their recordings and we put it all together and turned into an atmospheric soundscape.”
