West Indies cricket legend Gordon Greenidge was at Chorleywood Sports last week launching a range of batting pads whilst former England fast bowler Gladstone Small was playing for the Select All Stars Rose and Crown Team in the match against Chorleywood Cricket Club (Sun 14 Aug). The Chorleywood team was a mixture of adults and colts – promising fledgling players of 14 years and over.

“Small came in off his long run and frightened everybody to death” says John Chadwick, “It was a close game, cut and thrust to the bitter end with Chorleywood Cricket Club winning in the final over.  There was an all day BBQ, the weather was warm and everybody ended up back at the Rose and Crown for essential rehydration!”

Small tweeted…

“Oh dear this is my corridor of uncertainty these days……Rose & Crown v Chorleywood”
